PlasticFri was recently featured on BBC Click, the BBC’s flagship program on technology and innovation. This is a huge moment for us, as it gave Plasticfri’s founders, Allen and Max, the opportunity to share our mission to reduce plastic waste with a global audience.
During the interview, Allen and Max spoke about our ambitious goal to eliminate over 10 billion plastic items by 2026—a challenging target but one we are determined to reach.
Allen emphasized the urgency of the issue: “The time is short, and we can’t wait for tomorrow.” This urgency drives our efforts to create plant-based, sustainable alternatives to single-use plastics.
Why PlasticFri?
In the interview, Allen and Max also shared some of the details that make PlasticFri unique in the fight against plastic waste. Unlike many traditional alternatives, such as paper straws that often use glue, PlasticFri’s products are made using only heat and pressure. This ensures they are not only more sustainable but also stronger and safer for everyday use.
It’s an exciting time for PlasticFri, and we’re grateful to BBC Click for this opportunity to highlight our work and the importance of creating plant-based alternatives to single-use plastics. We are determined to continue growing and pushing forward with our mission to reduce plastic waste.
Thank you to everyone who’s been supporting us on this journey. Together, we’re helping create a plastic-free future.
